So Sweet

Everyday, around the time that Daddy will be getting home, Hannah anxiously awaits his arrival. We recently started to pile the pillows on the couch so that she can have a little perch by the window to watch for him. As soon as that car pulls into the driveway she gets sooooo excited. She starts yelling "Dada, Dada", while knocking on the window and waving. It is so cute to see her perched up there so excited for her daddies arrival home. I'm going to try to capture this on both video and digital camera. That way I can show you a picture of her sitting up there. I tell you it is one of the sweetest things!!!

How embarrassing!

Yesterday was my first doctors appointment. Although I'm not sure if it should be called a doctors appointment, since I didn't actually see the doctor. What I did do was meet the OB nurse, who proceeded to ask me a thousand questions about my family history. She even asked me if I had any cravings to eat any non-food items! As a matter of fact yes, I have been craving some dirt all day long. Next up, the lab. I do not do good when it comes to having my blood drawn, and I did not realize that I was going to get my blood drawn. Otherwise my hubby would have been there holding my hand instead of sitting out in the car keeping Tater entertained. Anyway, I sit down in the dreaded chair, trying to keep my mind off of what is going on and making mindless chatter about how old my daughter is and what she does these days. When the nurse proceeds to tell me that I am halfway there and my blood is flowing good. What!!! Why did you have to remind me of what was going on?! From there it just went downhill. I started feeling woozy, I got really hot and then, oh yes, the world started to get black and my ears weren't allowing me to hear. Let me just say that I did not actually pass out, but I was this close to hitting the floor. They brought in a little bench for me to lay down on, put ice on my neck and made me drink some water. Oh the fun of getting blood drawn! After a few minutes I was fine, but absolutely mortified that I can't get my blood drawn without almost fainting! Thanks a lot DAD! Anyway, after my little episode I met with the insurance gal, who thankfully told me that my insurance would pay for everything! Woo-hoo. I was a little worried because they sent me off base since I had a c-section with Hannah and wanted to try VBAC this time. When I got my referral letter it said some crap about maybe having to pay cost share. So, I was dreading the fact that I might actually have to have another c-section back on base, but thankfully my insurance pulled through for me!!!

Hannah has two of the four canine teeth poking through. She has been so miserable the past couple of days that we've been letting her run all over us. Not a good thing. She has quickly mastered the art of throwing a tantrum just to get another pack of fruit snacks, or to get to watch more Dora videos. I do not know what we are going to do with this one, she is quite the tantrum thrower! Of course my husband doesn't mind, as he confided in me that he loves to spoil her. Well, I love to spoil her too, but that doesn't mean that we should let her turn into a little hoodlum! So, we are going to try to fight the little tantrum thrower, although it is hard when you know they are in pain. We'll see how it goes.

Sshhhh It's a SECRET!!!

Let's play a game. I promise it will be fun and it is a very easy game. The object of the game is to see who reads this blog on a daily basis and who can keep a secret. Of course with any game, there are a few rules. The first is that you can not tell anybody about the secret. Once you figure out what the secret is post a comment and only discuss the secret with others who have posted a comment. The second is there is no prompting others to read the blog, they must find in on their own. Otherwise that takes away from the fun!!! Do you want to play? Well too bad if you don't because once you have gotten this far you have to play by my rules...plus it's my secret! In order to figure out the secret, just take a look at the picture below. Oh and Happy Valentines Day!

Birthday Weekend

What a weekend! I was a little sad to be away from my family on my birthday. (I have been lucky enough to be home the last couple.) For one thing I knew I probably would not be getting a cake. To my surprise, my Mom ordered me a cookie cake and had it sent to me!!! Yum, it was so good (yes it is gone already)! Friday night I played Bingo with a friend. That's right, we invaded the elderly at the local church and played bingo! It was a lot of fun, but neither of us won. Saturday was my birthday and unfortunately I spent most of the day tearing down wallpaper. Not much fun, but with my Dad coming into town on Wednesday to help paint, it had to get done. Saturday evening, Tony and I went out to eat.....by ourselves! Such fun to get dressed up, drive an hour to eat at a nice restaurant and not have to worry about keeping the little one entertained throughout the entire experience! Hannah had fun with her babysitters and by the time we got home she was already in bed. Sunday: more wallpaper stripping! The wonderful people that lived here before us put the wallpaper straight up on the drywall....sooo it is not coming off that easily. But, I am almost done, just a couple of little spots and I'll be done.
Yay!

Cheese!!!! Posted by Picasa

Say Cheese

Hannah had her first act of graffiti on Saturday. Hubby was taking a test online and I was busy sorting her 18 month pictures out when the art took place. I was sitting at the table in the kitchen and Hannah was just singing away and dancing around, so I was not paying that close of attention to her. I looked over and saw her standing by the wall but did not think anything of it. Soon she was right behind me at the dishwasher, and when I looked up I noticed that she held a tiny piece of crayon in her hand. Now mind you this is the girl who will put two scribbles on her coloring page and be done, but she had just scribbled all over the dishwasher and the wall. I just laughed and went and got hubby and told him he had to come see this. He came out and said that we should take a picture of her first act of graffiti. Now this is the cute part, when I held up the camera to take a picture of her she surprised me by saying "CHEEEESE!" Since then I have tried on several occasions to take her picture so that she will say it again and she will not. I think that she knew she did something wrong so she had to throw the cute factor in. Regardless, I have realized that I need to keep a closer eye on the Tater from now on!

Those darn teeth!!!!!!

Ok, so now we are into the bad stage of the teething process. Hannah woke up FOUR times last night, do to a combination of stuffy nose and sheer pain. Let me just tell you how my night went. The first time it was not so bad, (I am rather spoiled because she always sleeps straight through until about nine the next morning) I jumped out of bed to rush to her. Gave her a little TLC and put her back to bed. The second time happened at 2:00, I did not jump out of bed this time. I gave her a little time to see if she would fall back to sleep on her own. When she didn't I stumbled into her room, and found a wide awake cranky little girl. I took her to the kitchen to get some milk and some medicine, laid her on the couch and snuggled her. I was hoping she would settle right down. Nope, she thought it would be fun to run around and play. Mind you the lights were not on. At a 2:45 I had her settled down enough to go back to bed. Only to be woken up at 3:30, this time I waited and my husband said "Babe Hannah is crying." No kidding huh, so if you are awake enough to say that Hannah is crying, why don't you go get her? So this time I stomped in there, picked her up and as she pointed to the door, told her no it is time to sleep. She then started throwing a huge tantrum, so I placed her back into her crib and went back to the bedroom. Only to find my husband standing in the doorway, "Did you even pick her up and comfort her?" Well if you're that worried about it, why didn't you go check on her? But what I really said was yes and she's fine. So that you don't think that I am the worst mom in the world, after about two minutes of crying she was back to sleep. The fourth time, I let her cry it out. Bad, I know, but she went right back to sleep that way. As I said it was not a pleasant night. Not only that but, she also has developed a rather red bottom. So my poor (usually sweet) baby has been rather cranky all day.
In other news, I decided I was tired of not feeling good about myself, so I decided to do something about it. I went to a gym last night after finding a free thirty day membership online. The only downfall is that it is such a drive. It would be one thing, if I was going there to meet somebody, but I'm not. I drive all the way there to work out by myself. At least in Ohio I had the privilege of chatting with one of my best friends while working out. However, it is ladies only which I was looking for, and it's the only one within 70 miles so I need to make it work.
My sweet hubby is finishing up supper, while tater-tots is "mixing" some flour in a bowl on the floor. I decided it would be easier to clean that up later then try to fight her while I started supper. That was 15 minutes ago and my hubby just hollered that she got flour all over the floor, so I better go:)
