Last night we decided to go bowling with some friends. The problem is that since we are relatively new down here and don't have any family around we don't have many options as far as babysitters. The friends that we were bowling with are usually Hannah's babysitters. So we took her with us, not a good idea since it was cosmic bowling! Cosmic bowling starts at 10:00pm and goes until 1 or 2. Usually by ten our little angel is asleep or at least almost there. So needless to say that she turned into quite the grump and practiced her skills of screaming in public. We ended up leaving early because we knew she needed one thing, her bed. We weren't mad at her because we knew that it wasn't her fault that we decided to drag her out so late at night, but we were still both frustrated from dealing with a cranky baby.
That is when my husband pointed out that when our little angel is grown up we will miss times like this. We will miss how when we first got there she was being quite the entertainer, dancing to the music, running around clapping for everybody that bowled saying "yaaaaa". We will miss being able to snuggle her and hold her whenever we want. We will pretty much miss all of it. That is when he reached back and touched her leg and even though she was screaming said "I just can't help it. I just can't help but to touch her..." (and give her everything that she wants) Often times we find ourselves rushing her to grow up, we can't wait until she can talk to us, we can't wait until.... But now I just want to enjoy the way she is, because she will never be this dependant on me again.

First of all, fifty isn't that old!! And secondly, I'm glad you realize how fast time goes and how much you love Hannah is how much we love you. That never changes no matter how old you get! Enjoy every minute you have with her. Widh I was there!
Love, Mom (Grandma Chips)
